What was removed:

2. A function that checks the database and displays the message “Trial period for Download Manager is expired”;
3. A function that displayed red banners in the admin panel with a requirement to buy a copy for 99 USD;
4. A function that climbed into the database
to get the JSON with the end date.
Functional summary:
For a system for distributing digital goods and protecting downloads, the plugin will consider the license valid and hide warnings in the admin panel.
Not a single function responsible for directory operation, file downloading, access rights, or bot protection was affected.
Only the “police” module of the plugin, which is responsible for checking with the developer’s server and blocking the site, has been amputated. In this form, the system is absolutely reliable and autonomous.
Automatic updates of the plugin from the WordPress admin panel will not work!
