please, why am i getting an error at the last installation option “something went wrong please check your connection details and try again” all the details i input are correct. Please what might be the issue please help me, Thanks

I face the same problem I fix it By cutting the passwords in the file .env enclosing the password in quotes (" ") as follows:
Why?

Some versions of PHP dotenv may interpret # as a comment, ignoring the rest of the password.
Enclosing it in quotes resolves this issue.

Change this
DB_PASSWORD= your data pays password
with this
DB_PASSWORD=" your data pays password"
It's worked for me

I think its older version its not the newer 4.2.
Maybe uploaded 2.4 old version by mistake
