If u have the backup try to update and look if you have some plugin conflict.
Generally before updating for my procedure is: I deleting install folder , uploads, confing.php, plugins folder , after overwriten files and after lunch example.com/update.

you just have same files you not need files of this! my biolinks have 12gb data files

I don’t need the whole site, I only need the theme folder, because if I add a folder from the theme of the old version, then everything is displayed correctly except the text, because as I understand it, more words have been added in the new version
