QUESTION Invision community or Xenforo

Hi guys and girls,

Quick question.

Anyone here got experience with invision community?
I just know Xenforo, but a client asked me about ips.
He wants to grow a community online, not in an enterprise.

What do you prefere and why? (Except the costs)
How about features and addons?
(Xenforo has a lot and I can test them because of this great forum here )

Any suggestion from your side?

Invision all they way , so much more features and much better easy to use.

Personally I prefer XenForo, I use both.
1. There are more plugins for XenForo.
2. There are more quirky plugins that allow you to tweak the homepage and settings in a better way. It obviously depends on what you will have the website for.
3. It is easier to solve the problems that may arise with xenForo. It depends on what skills you have.
4. I think the admin page is better for XenForo, it has a better structure.
5. The settings for what a visitor, member or a group gets and can do are much better with XenForo.

I think I will give both a try and check what suites best.
Currently I have no exact request from the client. This is a common problem I face a lot.
I personally like Xenforo also better. Maybe related to my job or whatever.

Update: i tested xenforo 2 and ips a lot the last days.
Both have pros and cons of course.

The biggest differences are:

Ips provides a lot features out of the box.
After a few hours you get a good feeling of the system. I just struggle a little bit with theme changes, but it is getting better...

Xenforo is getting powerful with addons. Without them, it is really basic. But i can work much better with it. The themes are also great an easier to modify.
You get more and cool addons for xenforo.

Just a small feedback or update from me, if someone else is struggeling with like me.
